DENNIS KAVELMAN has become the newest member of the senior executive team as chief operating officer at Desire2Learn. Kavelman brings years of experience as a previous member of the sen- ior executive team at Research in Motion (R.I.M.). During his 15-year career at R.I.M., first as CFO, and then as co-COO, he was instru- mental in helping the company grow from 20 employees to more than 15,000, from gener- ating $2 million to more than $15 billion in revenue.
KAREN BALCOMB has been appointed as senior solution consultant at Kineo U.S. She will be based in New York and will lead Kineo's East Coast sales. She joins Kineo from Brandon Hall, where she was a senior account execu- tive. She has extensive expe- rience of evaluating and developing e-learning solu- tions for clients.

platforms, have named LEE STAYTON, an expert in tech- nology-enabled learning, to its expanding staff as head of e- Learning Consultancy. Stayton brings over 20 years experi- ence from NSight, Verndale and LehmanMillet, most recently as vice president of e-Learning Services at NSight. A Montana native and a Navy veteran, Stayton's early work focused on pioneering appli- cations of decision-support systems for executives in finance, logistics, and manu- facturing.
ANDY WOOLER has been appointed as a senior learning technology consultant to lead Kineo's Totara LMS consultan- cy projects. He joins Kineo from Legal and General where he was HR Technology man- ager. He has more than 12 years experience in imple- menting LMS systems in large corporations, including Royal and Sun Alliance, and Legal and General.
