News To Certify or Not to Certify? Ninety-two percent of hiring managers said they would hire the certified candidate if the top candidates had equivalent experience. And 93 percent would expect to pay the certified candidate more than one without certification. On June 14th, 130 hiring managers and executives attended "Advancing Your Career Through Certification." They shared the following feedback on certification: >> 89 percent said that credentials were important during the hiring process >> 86 percent said it was important the credential be 'cross industry' >> 73 percent would hire the certified candidate if top candidates has equivalent education Ninety-three percent said it was important that the credential be 'portable.' When training and skills development occurs outside the workplace, certifying may be the only means to "validate" those skills and experience. The certificate validates the learning and expertise of the professional. Elearning! Institute is now issuing the Learning!
